Ground beef – a somewhat forgotten ”cut”
Ground beef is the most common beef we eat, and unfortunately, this has caused it to lose its fine status. A good and bad ground beef differ as much as a good and bad ribeye steak can. It matters how high the fat content is, how finely it’s grounded, and whether it’s dry-aged or not.
Our ground beef is ground to 3 mm, this is to suit as many dishes as possible, especially those where it’s used in sauces, such as bolognese, stews, and lasagna. But it’s just as suitable for the beloved tacos, meatballs, or soup.
The fact that the ground beef is dry-aged is the icing on the cake
Unlike the ground beef you can buy in grocery stores, our ground beef is dry-aged. It’s dry-aged for three weeks to bring out the fantastic flavours that can only be achieved through dry-aging. This, together with the fact that it’s from old grass-fed animals, contributes to the flavourful ground beef. The fat content is the other important difference. The ground beef you find in stores usually has a fat content of about 8%, ours has 25-27%. This is because, just like with other cuts, much of the flavour resides in the fat. It also makes your meatballs and patties juicier, here you don’t need to add cream to prevent them from drying out. So, our ground beef is juicier, but above all, more flavourful than other ground beef. What we often hear from our customers is the incredible difference in taste.
Storage
The vacuum packaging ensures that it keeps for 8 days at a maximum of +4 degrees Celsius, but often longer. If you’re unsure, you can clearly smell if it’s gone bad. In the freezer, it keeps for up to 5 months.

5 or 10 kg of dry-aged ground beef. The ground beef is dry-aged and slightly fattier than regular ground beef, which makes it more flavourful, easier to shape, and it doesn’t release as much liquid.

Packaging
The ground beef is delivered vacuum-sealed in 500 g packages, labeled with contents, weight, and date – ready to freeze.
Shelf life
The ground beef keeps for approximately 1 week in the refrigerator and at least 18 months in the freezer.
